Tuma Massif-Largest Volcano discovered under Pacific Ocean

I am to invite a look into my earlier Blog of May 28th 2013 in which I had written about the distruction of a Town Pompeii by the eruption of a Volcano. The volcanos are always a threat to the world The Volcanos do possess a habit of growing again after an Eruption&in in due course becomes again yet another threat to the World. The Largest Volcano wait in the hiding beneath the Pacific Ocean, reseachers announced in the Journal of Nature Geoscience. This volcano ,underdtood to be the Largest in the Earth's Solar System and perhaps the second and smaller by 25% than the OLYMPUS MONS in Mars according to the Scientists andResearchers from the Texas University at Houston. They believe that this is a class of Volcano that has not been recognized earlier. They also say that the slopes are so shallow that if one stands on it would have a difficult time to tell which way was downhill. According to the Reseachers, the Tamu Massiff is 400 miles wide but only about 2.5 miles tall.It must have erupted 144 million years ago and has been extinct since then. Until now Tamu Massif was thought by Geologists as a Plateau in the North West Pasific Ocean. These kind of Volcanos are generally known as Floating Volcanos. The Volume of Tamu Massif alone is estimated to be 600,000 Cubic Miles and is bigger than the British Isles or New Maxico. Further facts about this largest volcano are likely to come up in the coming Days SreedharanMundanat 7th September 2013 05-51Hrs(IST)
